Why do I need to answer personal questions during setup of the MigrainePal app?
Migraines affect people in different ways. This includes age, gender and length of time you have had the condition. It is important to take this information into account when we perform your individual and private migraine report. This information is not shared with others unless you opt-in. You can check your privacy settings under the "You" section.
What should I do if I don't know what my migraine triggers or causes are?
Don't worry. If you have no idea what causes your migraines then a good place to start is with the most common triggers that affect many migraineurs. These include sleep, stress, neck or upper back pain and diet. You can read more about what each of these refer to on the Entry page. This is a good starting point. Once you become more familiar with your condition and feel more confident you can add/remove triggers as you see fit.
I already know what my migraine triggers are, so will MigrainePal still help?
MigrainePal is a 'smart' diary for migraineurs. As long as you're experiencing frequent attacks, then there is a role for MigrainePal. Not only does it help confirm which triggers are playing a role in your condition, but it provides an indication to what extent. It also delivers guides to manage specific triggers. In addition MigrainePal helps you evaluate the current treatments, learn from other migraineurs, keep track of your progress and print summaries for your healthcare professional. So there even if you are on top of your triggers, you can still benefit from MigrainePal.
